About the Role

Cleveland Clinic's Digestive Disease Institute is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services in various healthcare settings.
  • Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, and document findings in patient records.
  • Notify physicians of abnormal findings and perform telephone triage and call rotations.
  • Perform nursing procedures, administer treatments, and medications as required.
  • Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs, and facilitate discharge planning.
  • Evaluate, initiate, and maintain standards of care.
  • Educate patients and families on various aspects of care.
  • Cover other nursing roles in the department as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) or willingness to obtain within six months of employment.
  • One year of recent experience as an RN.
  • Preferred qualifications: two years of recent experience as an RN.
Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Stand and walk for extensive periods of time.
  • Perform manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Have corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
  • Be exposed to communicable disease or bodily fluids.
Personal Protective Equipment

The candidate will be required to follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
