Responsibilities- Medication Administration: Administer medication and treatments to residents in a safe and organized manner, ensuring that medications are passed according to times and that appropriate documentation is completed for refusal or missed doses.
- Resident Care Communications: Notify the Resident Care Director of any resident and/or family concerns through the LEAD process, attend and actively participate in daily Cross Over meetings, and participate in the development of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and monthly updates.
- Risk Management and General Safety: Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation requirements, practice safety procedures at all times, and report all accidents/incidents and unsafe and hazardous conditions/equipment immediately.
- Training and Contributing to Team Success: Actively participate as a member of a team, commit to working toward team goals, and demonstrate in daily interactions with others our Team Member Credo and Principles of Service.
- Education: High School diploma/GED accepted and may be required per state/provincial regulations.
- Certifications: Maintain certifications in CPR and First Aid, and other certifications as required by Sunrise and state/provincial regulations.
- Experience: Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
- Skills: Ability to make choices and decisions and act in the resident's best interest, ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations, ability to handle multiple priorities, and possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and level of understanding.
