Pediatric Medical Assistant Sr Job Description

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Medical Assistant Sr to join our team in our Downtown Orlando Clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient care delivery
  • Review charts for current information and ensure accurate documentation
  • Perform clinical procedures, including vital signs, aseptic procedures, and basic first aid
  • Assist with patient examination and treatment, and operate medical equipment as needed
  • Collect routine laboratory specimens and perform office procedures
  • Act as a liaison between support services and clinical divisions, and obtain authorizations for tests and therapies

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of one year Medical Assistance experience
  • Specialized training beyond high school preferred
  • Medical Assistant Certification and AHA BLS Certification required
