Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts Counter Specialist to join our team at Hernando Toyota. As a key member of our dealership's inventory management team, you will be responsible for purchasing, selling, storing, and issuing parts to our customers and internal staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Parts Procurement: Determine customer needs and accurately specify parts accordingly, create and modify purchase orders, and issue purchase orders to vendors to order parts.
  • Inventory Management: Record warranty parts returned, create special ordered parts on our dealership computer system, and notify ASM, technicians, or clients upon receipt.
  • Financial Management: Process and close open invoices, compare invoices against requisitions to verify quality and quantity of merchandise received, and keep records of outside purchases and parts received and issued.
  • Warehouse Operations: Perform ongoing warehouse parts inventory, and maintain accurate records of inventory levels.
  • Communication: Attend weekly department meetings and communicate effectively with internal staff and customers.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: One year of dealership warehouse experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and taste or smell. Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
