About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our Perioperative Division at Salem Hospital, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate the safe and effective execution of surgical procedures.
  • Ensure the operating room environment is safe and well-equipped with the necessary surgical supplies and equipment.
  • Practice principles of asepsis and sterile techniques to maintain a high level of patient care.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in supporting a variety of specialized procedures, including orthopedic, general surgery, vascular, and more.
  • Collaborate with the Perioperative Nurse Educator to learn and develop skills in the CST role and surgical specialties.
Requirements
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Successful completion of an accredited educational program for surgical technologists and certification as a surgical technologist accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologists.
  • Ability to adapt to new procedures and protocols in a multidisciplinary environment.
