The primary role of the .NET Software Engineer is to engage in the architecture, design, and development of applications. Strong client interaction skills alongside practical coding abilities are essential. Effective collaboration with other development and infrastructure teams to deliver comprehensive solutions is critical. A dedication to teamwork, collaborative problem-solving, and producing high-quality outcomes is required. This position involves working with various internal stakeholders to efficiently implement forms, automated workflows, and corporate initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, modify, construct, and deploy software applications.
  • Support and/or install software applications and their components.
  • Translate and document business challenges and/or user stories into functional applications.
  • Ensure project completion within the agreed timeline and budget.
  • Create detailed design artifacts and technical documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Research and assess alternative solutions, recommending the most efficient and cost-effective options.
  • Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Devise solutions to address issues, bottlenecks, and bugs.
  • Maintain high code quality standards.
  • Work across multiple applications, allocating time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Assist in post-implementation support and system enhancements.
  • Define system content, structure, and workflows.
  • Adhere to all outlined policies for application support and development, with a focus on security standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in web application development and support.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in systems analysis, programming, and design.
  • Advanced skills in ASP.NET, C#, XML, MVC, REST, SOAP, and web services.
  • Strong knowledge of .NET technologies, particularly ASP.NET Core 3.0, along with robust debugging skills.
  • Familiarity with Angular, JavaScript, Oracle, SQL Server, Visual Studio, SSIS, SSRS, and Azure.
  • Understanding of DEVOPS delivery pipelines and methods to review and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with package managers such as NPM, BOWER, and NUGET.
  • Knowledge of performance, scalability, security, and testing applications.
  • Familiarity with various design and architectural patterns.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to lead teams to drive solutions to completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Document, design, and develop artifacts for applications, architecture, and operational environments.
  • Ability to plan and create technical project schedules that ensure timely and budget-compliant work.
  • Position level may vary based on experience.
Hybrid Work Model:

Independence Blue Cross has adopted a hybrid work model, requiring associates to work in the office three days a week and remotely two days a week. This role is designed to fit within this hybrid framework.
