Mass General Brigham is seeking a dedicated and skilled Breast Imaging Specialist who will also serve as a Patient Advocate within our Breast Health Department. This role comes with a competitive $15,000 Sign-On Bonus, complimentary parking, and benefits that commence on the first day of employment.
Key Responsibilities
The Breast Imaging Specialist will play a crucial role in delivering empathetic and proficient care to patients and their families. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring thorough preparation of patients for breast imaging examinations and procedures.
- Facilitating prompt scheduling for all breast-related procedures.
- Conducting pre-procedure evaluations and providing clear patient instructions.
- Offering support to patients during procedures as necessary.
- Assisting radiologists in managing any complications that may arise during procedures.
- Delivering post-procedure guidance and following up with patients.
- Communicating pathology results to patients effectively.
- Maintaining and updating patient medical records, including radiology reports and pathology results.
Patient Education and Safety
The Breast Imaging Specialist will act as the primary resource for patient education and safety, ensuring that breast imaging patients receive immediate care when needed. This includes collaboration with radiologists, staff, and medical response teams.
Qualifications
Licenses Required:
- DPH/State of MA Radiation Control Board - Radiologic Technologist License in Radiology and Mammography
- ARRT (R),(M)
Certifications Required:
- Certified Breast Health Navigator
- CPR Certification
