Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Spiritual Care Specialist to join our team on a per diem basis, working nights. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing spiritual care to patients, families, and staff, with a strong understanding of the importance of holistic care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide spiritual care to patients, families, and staff in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency departments.
  • Evaluate spiritual needs and provide supportive brief spiritual counseling, referrals, and education.
  • Foster a sense of mission and values within the hospital and healthcare team, promoting a culture of love, joy, and peace.
  • Maintain open communication with team members, leaders, and patients, ensuring seamless coordination of care.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends, research, and best practices in spiritual care, incorporating new knowledge into practice.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as divinity, theology, or pastoral care.
  • At least two units of Clinical Pastoral Education completed at a center accredited by ACPE, Inc.
  • Good standing with a recognized faith community.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and emotional intelligence skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits that include health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities.
