Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airworthiness Certification Group Head I Visa Approved to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for providing supervision, assignments, and guidance to a team of interior completions certification engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and evaluate plans for projects and activities, assessing technical feasibility and soundness of proposed analysis, tests, or concepts being applied.
- Provide direct supervision of employees of similar expertise for a large project or a number of small projects.
- Communicate performance expectations, salary administration, and conduct performance appraisals.
- Responsible for establishing and executing objectives that support short-term goals.
- Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, representing the organization to resolve important issues and to plan and coordinate work.
- Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings concerning specific projects.
- Acts as an advisor to subordinate leads or staff members.
- Actively participates in daily operations as required to meet schedules and resolve issues.
- May recommend modifications to operating policies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
- 10 years of engineering experience, 5 years in a specific technical discipline.
- Experience credit considered for related advanced degrees.
- 1 year of supervisory or broad managerial responsibility.
This position requires up to 25% travel and may involve working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
