The CT Imaging Specialist is responsible for producing high-quality images that assist Radiologists in diagnosing conditions related to general radiography, CT scans, mammography, and bone densitometry.


Key Responsibilities:
- Properly position patients to obtain optimal radiographic images.
- Build rapport with patients, demonstrating confidence and expertise regarding the procedures being performed.

- Optimize imaging techniques to ensure appropriate contrast and density for CT scans, mammography, and general radiographs, including portable equipment.

- Implement safety measures to protect patients from unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Collaborate with Radiologists to fulfill requests for additional imaging as needed.
- Assist Radiologists during fluoroscopic procedures.
- Accurately document images to inform Radiologists when exams are ready for interpretation.

- Administer contrast materials according to established protocols and respond appropriately to any reactions.

- Utilize various computer applications (Cerner, Change Healthcare (PACS)).
- Maintain equipment integrity and cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination.
- Understand scheduling processes to assist colleagues as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Complete department-specific orientation and annual competency assessments for this role.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associates, Bachelors, or equivalent) required.
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience in Radiography.
- Preferred: Experience in Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography, and/or Bone Densitometry.
