The Endobariatric Awareness Representative (EBAR) is a key member of our team, responsible for providing operational and educational resources to assigned territories/geographies. This role involves engaging with targeted Endobariatric physicians and referring physicians, as well as other clinicians and office personnel, to promote awareness of Endobariatric therapy, indications for use, and patient identification/patient screening best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and partner with Regional Endobariatric Managers to grow Boston Scientific's Endobariatric business in targeted centers, ensuring sales targets are achieved.
- Assist physicians and office staff with patient identification, patient screening, and patient education resources.
- Work to enroll practices, physicians, and patients in the Boston Scientific Patient Access Support Program.
- Serve as the primary Boston Scientific field coordinator of Direct to Patient Programs administered in the assigned geography.
- Educate on Endobariatric therapies to medical practice personnel managing obese patients, with the goal of increasing therapy awareness and patient referrals for Endobariatrics.
- Connect physicians and practices referring obese patients with Endobariatric Programs by coordinating peer-to-peer events.
- Develop physician and office champions for patient referrals.
- Meet with hospital marketing departments, media relations, and/or physician liaisons of each targeted hospital facility to educate on Endobariatric service lines.
- Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of successful sales or 6+ years of clinical experience working in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Results-oriented team player.
- Excels in fast-paced, competitive environments.
- Must be able to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Program development and/or market development experience preferred.
- Experience working in bariatrics.
- Pharmaceutical sales experience.
- Obesity therapeutics experience.
Annualized base salary for this full-time position ranges between $50,000 - $125,000, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan, which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives, as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at Boston Scientific.
