Job Summary:

The Swim Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons and programs to members and guests of the Drayson Center. This role requires a strong understanding of swimming techniques and the ability to communicate effectively with students of all ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience as a head swim professional or instructor and hold a Swim Coach certification from USA Swimming or the American Red Cross, or Water Safety Instructor certification from the American Red Cross.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct swimming lessons and programs for children and adults
  • Develop and implement swimming lesson plans and programs
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive and effective learning experience

Requirements:
  • Minimum one year of related experience as a head swim professional or instructor
  • Swim Coach certification from USA Swimming or the American Red Cross, or Water Safety Instructor certification from the American Red Cross
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English with professional quality
  • Ability to work calmly and respond courteously under pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
