Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Guardian Angels. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of our nursing stations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care, and managing a team of nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide direct and indirect supervision of assigned staff, including hiring, personnel issues, staff reviews, and coaching and development.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with current standards, guidelines, state and federal regulations, and facility policies.
  • Resident Care: Conduct resident assessments, gather data for completion of resident assessments, and develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Staff Support: Provide on-call coverage for nursing staff, offer support and direction as an available resource nurse, and assist staff on the floor as needed.
  • Education and Training: Provide education and training to staff on various topics, including infection control, safety standards, and resident-centered care.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Five years of prior RN experience, with at least one year in geriatrics, and three to five years of supervisory experience.
  • Licensure and Certification: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Minnesota, with unrestricted license, and current CPR certification.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, self-motivation, ability to prioritize, and willingness to work with other disciplines to coordinate and monitor resident services.
