Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier Part Time to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner, including verifying, renewing, and upgrading membership products.
  • Scan merchandise through a point-of-sale system to ensure accurate inventory counts and purchase totals.
  • Collect payments via cash, check, or other charge payments from members.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the frontline area and assist with general club housekeeping as needed.
  • Manage self-checkout and scan and pan lanes, assisting members with operations and technical difficulties.
Requirements:
  • Basic math skills preferred.
  • Prior cashier or sales experience preferred.
Work Environment:

This role is located in a comfortable indoor area with infrequent exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises. You will be required to move about frequently on hard surfaces and may need to occasionally position yourself to examine or scan merchandise.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $16.50-$19.80. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.
