About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a Registered Nurse in our Vascular Access Center, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing vascular access procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical histories, medications, and allergies to ensure accurate and effective care.
  • Administer medications and IV moderate sedation as directed by physicians, adhering to organization, company, federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Act as a resource for patients and their families, addressing concerns and questions in a compassionate and empathetic manner.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, adhering to organization policies and procedures.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities, including monthly reports and meetings, to ensure continuous process improvement.
  • Assist with efficient utilization of medication, laboratory, inventory, supplies, and equipment to achieve supply cost goals.
Requirements
  • Current appropriate state licensure and ACLS certification required.
  • 4-6 years' related experience preferred, with a focus on Office-Based Surgical Center/Ambulatory Surgical Center/Vascular Access, Cardiac Cath Lab, or a combination of ASC, surgical, Interventional Radiology, and ICU/CCU or emergency department experience.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and related software, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in IV insertion, cardiac rhythm recognition, and experience with Medical database software.
  • Certified in BLS & ACLS, with successfully completed course certifications.
