Job Title: Payment Posting Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payment Posting Specialist to join our team at Alliance Health System. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing and insurance reimbursement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Post and analyze insurance and patient payments to ensure accurate reimbursement.
• Retrieve and review Remittance Advice notices and Explanation of Benefits for proper handling.
• Communicate effectively with insurance companies, legal offices, providers, and patients to resolve any issues.
• Stay up-to-date with changing insurance benefits, fee schedules, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the team to improve processes and reduce denials.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in medical payment posting, preferably in electronic and paper remittances.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and other medical billing programs.
• Strong understanding of insurance benefits, CPT, ICD-10 codes, modifiers, and HIPAA.
