HealthEcareers - Client is seeking a skilled Traveling Sonographer to join their team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining medical imaging equipment, preparing patients for exams, and producing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain medical imaging equipment, including ultrasound machines and other diagnostic devices
- Prepare patients for exams, including explaining procedures and positioning patients for optimal image quality
- Produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes, ensuring accurate and detailed results
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- 1-2 years of experience in diagnostic imaging, preferably in a travel or per diem setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
