Job Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proficient Pest Management Specialist to enhance our Service Experts HVAC and Plumbing team. This role involves executing a variety of pest management tasks, including the identification of pest species and infestations, as well as the application of pest control substances. Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer pesticides to structures according to work schedules, safety protocols, and label instructions
  • Identify pest species, signs of infestations, and damage caused by pests
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations to ensure safe handling of hazardous materials related to pest management
  • Conduct thorough inspections of surroundings to ensure pest-free environments
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to discuss project requirements and timelines
  • Estimate materials, equipment, and labor costs for pest management projects
  • Comply with pest management codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Mentor and guide junior pest management technicians
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials utilized
  • Coordinate with suppliers to acquire pest management materials and equipment
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
  • Report any unsafe acts, conditions, and hazards to the direct supervisor/manager immediately
  • Notify of any violations of legislation or company policy to the direct supervisor/manager immediately
  • Correct substandard acts or conditions within the area of control
  • Utilize and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as prescribed by company protocols
  • Never remove or disable any safety devices or protective gear
  • Comply with general safety rules as prescribed by company policies
  • Operate devices or equipment as prescribed by company protocols
  • Participate in safety initiatives, teams, or committees
  • Report all injuries or incidents as prescribed by company protocols immediately
  • Contribute to the development of safety initiatives and plans to mitigate risks
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Pest Management Specialist or similar role, with a minimum of 10 years
  • Comprehensive knowledge of pest management codes, regulations, and best practices
  • Strong understanding of pest management systems, materials, and tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong attention to detail and time management capabilities
  • Physical stamina and capability to lift heavy objects
  • Valid pest management license/certification
  • Valid driver's license
Working Conditions:
  • This position involves physical labor and may require working in confined spaces or at heights
  • Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, depending on project requirements
  • Exposure to various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity
  • May require working in hazardous environments or with potentially dangerous materials
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as necessary
