Network Architect

Job Title: Network Architect

Job Summary:
ADEX is seeking a highly skilled Network Architect to support the design, implementation, and optimization of our telco network solution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in WAN telecommunications networks and experience with modern telco services.

Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate telco designs in relation to critical infrastructure and service needs.
Plan and design modern telco services to replace legacy copper-based solutions.
Implement solutions that support customer requirements.
Participate in after-action reviews to resolve technical challenges.
Create and maintain documentation for engineering and NOC teams.
Identify areas of opportunity for automation and network optimization.
Manage the Telco design release workflow to meet implementation schedules.

Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Minimum 4 years of WAN telecommunications networks experience or 2 years post-secondary/Associates Degree and 8 years of experience.
Strong project management skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Knowledge of engineering drawings and technical procedures.
Domain knowledge of the Telecommunications industry, including carrier services, provisioning terminology, and IP technologies.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing and implementing network technologies such as SONET, Carrier Ethernet, and Pseudo Wire.
Knowledge of telecommunications carrier ordering systems and processes.
Experience with leading network vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, and RAD.
Knowledge of WAN/LAN, TDM, and Voice switching systems; TCP/IP, specific routing protocols, and VPN technologies.
