Job Title: Junior Mold Maker

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Junior Mold Maker to join our team at BD. As a Junior Mold Maker, you will play a critical role in the fabrication and repair of molds and components, ensuring the highest level of quality and precision.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate various mold fabricating equipment, including EDM machines.
  • Read and interpret mold drawings to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Make, alter, and repair molds and components of complex design.
  • Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble injection molds to maintain optimal performance.
  • Determine which mold components need repair or replacement to ensure proper gating, venting, and cooling of molds.
  • Polish mold component finishes as required to maintain quality standards.
  • Perform routine mold repairs and fabricate mold components via established methods.
  • Assist more experienced Mold Makers on large and complicated multi-cavity molds.
  • Observe all safety and environmental procedures and QSR's.
  • Help keep Hoist inspected.
Qualifications:
  • H.S. Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Vocational/Technical School training or education in Machining, Toolmaker, or Tool & Die preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years Machinist or Tool & Die experience OR in lieu Machining, Toolmaker, Tool & Die Certification.
  • EDM proficiency preferred.
  • Must be available to work 12-hour night shifts.
Work Environment:
  • BD is a smoke-free campus.
  • False eyelashes, press-on fingernails, and Jewelry is not allowed on the production floor.
  • Shoes are required to be Steel Toe and non-slip for all associates while on the production floor for safety purposes.
