About the Role

Amergis is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Behavior Technician. In this role, you will work closely with children and adults with special needs, providing educational and behavioral support to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior management techniques to prevent and intervene in challenging behaviors
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals in need
  • Review and implement behavior intervention plans to ensure effective outcomes
  • Collect and analyze data to inform behavioral and academic goals
  • Assist in facilitating academic instruction and supporting students in developing independent living skills
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of pediatric experience preferred
  • Compliance with professional standards of practice and Amergis' competency program
  • Current CPR and TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals, supervisors, and colleagues
