We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist to join our team at Southern Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our cardiovascular lab team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations, addressing their psychosocial, physical, and general needs in the surgical environment.
- Communicate continuously and as needed with physicians about patient condition, ensuring seamless care coordination.
- Assist with the maintenance of equipment and inventory, ensuring the cardiovascular lab is well-stocked and ready for procedures.
- Assess procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness, identifying areas for improvement.
- Obtain supplies for individual cases and ensure all necessary needs of the cardiovascular lab team are met.
- Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
- Monitor and record patients' condition continuously while in the cardiovascular lab, providing timely updates to the care team.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities, contributing to the development of best practices.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
- Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.
- Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.
- One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.
