Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team of educational professionals in a dynamic and forward-thinking school district. As an Occupational Therapist in our K-12 school district, you will play a crucial role in helping students with disabilities develop the skills and abilities necessary to participate fully in their educational activities and achieve their individual goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Assessments: Evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living to identify areas of need.
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Create individualized treatment plans to address students' unique needs and goals, and implement strategies to support their success.
  • Collaborate with Professionals: Work with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement strategies that support students' success.
  • Provide Direct Services: Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, both in individual and group settings.
  • Document Progress: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, progress reports, and treatment plans.
  • Monitor Progress: Monitor students' progress and adjust interventions as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings: Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expertise to the development of appropriate goals and accommodations.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • State Licensure: Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience: Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.
