Physical Rehabilitation Specialist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled physical rehabilitation specialist to join our team at Cook Children's Health Care System. As a physical rehabilitation specialist, you will play a critical role in the care and rehabilitation of patients in the NICU.

About the Role

The physical rehabilitation specialist will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients in the NICU. This includes evaluating and treating patients with a range of conditions, providing education to families and caregivers, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients in the NICU and develop individualized treatment plans to address their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide education and support to families and caregivers on caring for their baby's specific needs.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Developmental Care Committee to discuss patient progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in Physical Therapy.
  • Pediatric and/or NICU experience preferred.
  • CPR-BLS within 30 days of employment required.
  • State license for Physical Therapy or licensure eligible.
