Physics Instructor

Job Summary:

The Alabama Community College System is seeking a highly qualified Physics/Physical Science Instructor to join our team. As a Physics/Physical Science Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching physics and physical science courses to students at Shelton State Community College.

Responsibilities:

• Teach physics and physical science courses to students at Shelton State Community College.
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans to ensure student learning and success.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional materials.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and technologies.
• Provide academic advising and support to students.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in teaching and learning.

Requirements:

• Masters degree in physics or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• At least 18 graduate semester hours in physics and physical science.
• Teaching experience at the college level.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching a range of college-level physics and physical science courses.
• Experience with distance learning technologies.
