Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and patient Caregiver Direct Support Professional to join our team at REM West Virginia. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with autism and other complex needs in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with autism and other disabilities
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support individuals with developmental goals, such as budgeting, dental hygiene, exercise, and nutrition
  • Encourage participation in community activities and hobbies
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination
  • Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
