Job Summary

Ocean Partners Hospitality is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Locate and correct heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) malfunctions, and adjust HVAC units to include systems control checks in guest rooms, commercial kitchen, and laundry equipment.
  • Contact and schedule vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance.
  • Maintain a schedule of when maintenance has been performed and when the next service is due.
  • Work safely and recognize unsafe situations. Take appropriate action to ensure your safety and that of others in the building.
  • Systematically check all guest room electrical appliances and circuits and can repair most in-room defects when necessary.
  • Assist with all in-house repairs, including removing and replacing bathroom tile, painting, repairing wallboard, wall vinyl, carpentry, etc., as needed.
  • May be asked to perform routine maintenance on building interior and exterior.
Work Environment

The job operates in public and non-public areas of the property, including guest rooms. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration while performing their duties.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, lift, and pull items over 75 pounds. The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

Requirements
  • ITI or Diploma holder in Air conditioning and refrigeration. Or two years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
  • Must have experience with electrical 120/280v-277/480v single and 3-phase systems.
  • Must have CFC Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PTAC units, Split systems, and RTUs.
  • Knowledge of life safety systems and other trades.
