The Assistant Miller is a critical role in the milling process at Panhandle Milling. This position requires a strong understanding of safety protocols, quality control, and efficient milling operations.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures, including GMP, HACCP, and Sanitation protocols.
- Operate transferring equipment and systems safely and efficiently.
- Sample and analyze milled flour to meet customer specifications.
- Perform lab analyses and operate analytical instruments.
- Wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Climb stairs and ladders to access equipment and storage areas.
- Strong reading comprehension, writing, math, and communication skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and process control.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent changes in temperature and humidity.
