Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Arlington, VA. This exciting opportunity involves designing, developing, and integrating software systems for the Electronic Warfare Division.

We are looking for a candidate with strong experience in C/C++ real-time software development and a proven track record of implementing high-performance signal processing on general-purpose processors, such as ARM.

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the design and development of advanced systems as part of multi-disciplinary teams, including software team members and subject matter experts from various areas.

This role requires expertise in designing, implementing, and testing real-time C/C++ software for multi-core systems running Linux or real-time operating systems like VxWorks.

You will also have the opportunity to work with third-party mathematics and communication libraries, interface communication standards/protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and DDS, and signal processing algorithms written in MATLAB.

A key aspect of this role is advanced knowledge of the Linux operating system and experience with real-time operating systems, as well as designing, implementing, and testing software to configure and control RF hardware devices.

The successful candidate will integrate software into third-party software frameworks and architectures, such as Redhawk, and document the developed systems.

Additionally, you will support system field testing and collection events, which may involve traveling once or twice a year.

To be eligible for this position, you must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI level clearance.

Educationally, we are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science, and 12+ years of software development experience.

Bonus points if you have a Master's Degree or existing TS/SCI security clearance

This is a salaried position with a competitive salary range of $126,100 - $227,950 based on qualifications and location in Arlington, VA.
