About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse II to join our Emergency Department team at Houston Methodist. As a Charge Nurse II, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading a team of nurses, and contributing to the overall success of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and hospital staff to ensure seamless patient care
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care and department efficiency
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher
  • Two years of clinical nursing experience, with a focus on emergency nursing
  • Current RN licensure in Texas or Compact State licensure within 60 days
  • BLS certification (AHA)
  • Other credentials and certifications as defined by unit/service line
