Job Summary:

Aircraft Mechanic II is responsible for inspecting and evaluating damage on aircraft and support equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of aircraft structural repair procedures and corrosion control techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and evaluate damage on aircraft and support equipment to determine the extent of repairs needed.
  • Operate ground support equipment and use tools to accomplish repairs, ensuring compliance with safety and housekeeping programs.
  • Design and manufacture logistics improvement projects to optimize maintenance efficiency.
  • Research technical data and manufacture structural components to meet aircraft specifications.
  • Perform aircraft composite repairs, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct equipment corrosion inspections to identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Coordinate maintenance efforts with supervisors to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of aircraft structural repair procedures and corrosion control techniques.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical data, including blueprints and schematics.
  • Completion of specialized courses in aircraft structural repair, such as FAA-approved programs.
  • Physical requirements: occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
