We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perioperative Assistant to join our team at Infojini Healthcare. As a Perioperative Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Obtain demographic and clinical information from patients to schedule services, procedures, and appointments.
- Work collaboratively with physicians' office staff and other members of the patient processing team to ensure maximum customer relations.
- Handle all incoming telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner, transferring calls to appropriate person(s) within the clinic or taking detailed messages.
- Schedule patients' appointments in-person at the reception desk or over the telephone.
- 1 year experience in a similar or related field (i.e., physician's office, scheduler, etc.).
- Experience in obtaining insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations.
- Experience with medical terminology and basic medical record processes.
- Prior hospital or Ambulatory experience.
- 1 year Scheduling experience.
- Experience with computerized scheduling or relational databases.
- Guaranteed hours.
- Contract weeks: 91.
- Modules are completed pre-start, and annually.
- Time spent on modules is self-reported, completion is recorded in Workramp transcripts.
Please note that all candidates who were a previous perm employee of ANY Providence affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel position. No exceptions.
