About Us.
Our General Float Pool nurses are assigned to various departments, including Med/Surg, Ortho, Telemetry, Intermediate Care/Observation, Inpatient Hospice, and Adult Psychiatric units. This role allows you to acquire diverse skills and knowledge across different units, fostering professional relationships and networking opportunities within the organization. Additionally, our Float Pool offers competitive compensation, including a float differential.
We prioritize patient-centered care, demonstrated through our commitment to hourly rounding, bedside reporting, and maintaining manageable nurse-to-patient ratios. Our facility is recognized as a Heart and Neurovascular Center, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and a Level II Trauma Center.

Your Responsibilities.
As a General Float Pool RN, your key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and addressing the psychological and physical needs of patients
- Ensuring continuity and quality of care with a focus on patient and family well-being
- Assessing patients' medical conditions upon admission
- Contributing to the development of personalized treatment plans
- Adhering to evaluation, treatment, and documentation protocols
- Supervising care provided by LPNs and/or CNAs
We value individuals over resumes, yet we maintain high standards. Therefore, we require:
- ASN/ADN from an accredited institution, with the expectation of obtaining a BSN within four years of hire, unless you have a minimum of fifteen years of continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting
- Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain a Colorado RN license
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain it within sixty days of hire (with prior approval); ACLS/NRP/PALS as applicable for the unit or service
- A minimum of one year of nursing experience in an acute care inpatient environment
