Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct manufacturing departmental operations or plant operations
  • Exercise creativity, perception, and initiative with a significant latitude for independent judgment and action
  • Manage a large group of hourly and salaried employees over multiple shifts
  • Develop and drive a safety culture within the plant
  • Manage day-to-day operations at the facility and coordinate activities within or across plant departments
  • Coaches, trains, develops, and evaluates salaried teams
  • Leads through teaching GMS operating requirements and serves as GMS principal lead for regional GMS activities
  • Works closely with other departments within and outside of the manufacturing production team and maintains strong relationships with other plants and external customers
  • Participates in the selection of salaried people leaders to effectively perform operations
  • Maintains corporate and unit management control systems, budget, and other information necessary to monitor performance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Ability to work overtime and off shifts as required
  • Multiple plant experience
  • Highly skilled in people development
  • Advocate for creating an environment that prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Champion for Workplace of Choice
  • Advanced knowledge of GMS
  • Operational excellence advocate
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
