About the Job

This Radiation Therapist position is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will be responsible for providing radiation therapy to patients with various types of cancer, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality radiation therapy to patients with cancer, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and imaging studies.
  • Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in radiation oncology.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Radiation Therapist in the state of Illinois.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in radiation therapy, preferably in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to lift and transfer patients, as well as work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ARRT registration.
