Key Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Technician will:

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on various warehouse equipment such as forklifts, conveyor systems, and packaging machinery.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, adhering to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and manage inventory of spare parts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations through regular checks and hazard identification.
  • Provide training to warehouse staff on equipment usage and maintenance protocols.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to develop effective maintenance schedules.
  • Identify opportunities for equipment performance enhancement and recommend improvements.
  • Communicate with equipment suppliers for repairs and upgrades.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Relevant certifications in equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for clear instruction and documentation.
Working Conditions:

Applicants should be prepared to:

  • Lift up to 100 lbs and work at heights of 20 to 30 feet.
  • Adapt to various temperatures and humidity levels.
  • Work Monday through Friday with availability for on-call repairs.
Job Type:

Full-time position with a competitive pay rate of $30.00 per hour.
