ATC Portland is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to work in a correctional facility setting. This role will involve providing comprehensive medical care, including routine check-ups and managing complex cases. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients.
The successful candidate will have current licenses as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse issued by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Additionally, they will require Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, COVID vaccination, recent PPD test or chest X-ray, clear criminal background checks, and drug screening. Reliable transportation and a smartphone are also necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient examinations, including assessing heart, lungs, gastrointestinal system, and other vital organs.
- Evaluate patients for masses and enlargement in major organs and glands.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as venipuncture and order laboratory studies.
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans, prescribing medications and therapies as authorized.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare specialists to manage complex cases.
