Rehabilitation Support Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at the University of California, Davis Health. As an OTA, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and support services to individuals with physical disabilities and injuries.

Key Responsibilities- ">
- Implement established occupational therapy programs in assigned areas of responsibility.
- Deliver high-quality patient care and support services, including activities of daily living, transfer training, strengthening, coordination, balance, range of motion, perceptual cognitive skills training, wheelchair manipulation skills, and fabrication of adapted devices.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, other healthcare professionals, and patients to develop personalized treatment plans and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and delivery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence in patient care.

- Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Licensure by the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or UC Davis Health CPR certification.
- Completion of an Occupational Therapy Assistant training program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Knowledge of current OTR, COTA, and Aide rules of practice according to the Occupational Therapy Board of California.
- Ability to communicate ideas and relate well with staff and patients to work as a team member.
- Willingness to assist other staff members with their caseloads.
