Cardiothoracic Surgeon Opportunity in Southern California

Job Summary:

Pacific Companies, Inc. is seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our team for a locum tenens opportunity in southern California. As a Cardiothoracic Surgeon, you will be responsible for performing complex cardiac and thoracic surgeries, including CABG, AVR, MVR, Thoracotomy, and Chest tube procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform new consults, cath lab, ER, and rounding procedures
  • Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including 1 other Physician and 1 or 2 Pas, to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Work in a fully equipped surgical suite for open heart, thoracic, and complex valve surgeries
  • Use Cerner EMR system to document patient information and treatment plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families from diverse backgrounds, including Spanish and Russian speaking populations

Requirements:

  • Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • California medical license
  • 5 years of experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery

The hospital is a 463-bed facility and the second largest heart program in southern California. It offers a range of services, including cardiac and thoracic surgery, and has a fully equipped surgical suite for complex procedures.
