Position Summary:
As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of Machine Tool equipment independently, as well as managing material handling equipment as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently set up and operate all types of Machine Tool equipment without supervision.
- Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines including mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
- Calculate and adjust controls to manage machining parameters such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
- Engage in safety training and maintain a strong commitment to safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Proven experience in setting up and operating manual lathes, surface grinders, manual milling machines, and boring mills.
- Experience with CNC milling machines is preferred.
- Must possess personal tools necessary for the role.
- Demonstrated strong attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
