Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on fleet vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical issues, focusing on engine and transmission repairs.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to assess vehicle conditions and troubleshoot problems.
  • Procure and install necessary parts for repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain detailed records of all service activities conducted on fleet vehicles.
  • Collaborate with drivers and staff to guarantee vehicle safety and readiness.
  • Establish preventative maintenance schedules and suggest vehicle upgrades or replacements as required.
  • Analyze fuel consumption and propose strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, particularly concerning hazardous materials and waste management.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in fleet maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of diesel engine systems, repair methodologies, and diagnostic tools.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
  • CDL License is preferred.
  • Ownership of a complete set of diesel mechanic tools and proficiency in their use.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
