Job Summary and Qualifications
As a highly-skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit, you will deliver the best possible preventative, supportive, and nursing care to each patient receiving treatment for acute medical/surgical conditions.

Our team supports one another like family, and we seek someone who finds patient care as meaningful as we do.


In this role, you will:
- Provide assessment and planning for individualized patient care.
- Respond promptly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.

- Deliver care for the patient in collaboration with the patient/family, considering developmental, cultural, and age-specific differences.

- Develop and implement patient care plans that include problems, goals, evaluations, and interventions.
- Communicate effectively with physicians regarding the patient's clinical condition and diagnostic study results.
- Perform nursing duties as required in the continuum of care for all patients.
- Participate in process improvement efforts and activities for the department.

- Collaborate with Social Service and Pastoral Care to support families with emotional and end-of-life resources such as Hospice to facilitate a dignified conclusion.


Qualifications:
- Current State of Idaho Registered Nurse License.

- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification within 7 days of employment start date (provided in orientation).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.

- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification within 90 days of employment start date.
- Previous critical care experience strongly preferred.
