Position Overview
As a Senior Consultant Pharmacist at Omnicare, a subsidiary of CVS Health, you will play a pivotal role in delivering pharmacy services to long-term care facilities. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our clients receive top-notch pharmaceutical care tailored to their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain compliance with federal regulations and standards within client facilities.
  • Conduct thorough clinical reviews as mandated by state and federal guidelines.
  • Proactively identify and resolve pharmacy-related issues impacting resident care and regulatory adherence.
  • Promote and implement Omnicare’s programs and services to enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Utilize established relationships to foster growth and expand service offerings.
  • Engage in Executive Reviews and facilitate customer meetings to align on goals and objectives.
  • Perform Medication Regimen Reviews (MRR) and provide comprehensive reports to facility staff.
  • Leverage OSC2OR software for generating MRRs and documenting clinical recommendations.
  • Utilize the Minimum Data Set (MDS 3.0) to identify residents requiring focused clinical attention.

Quality Improvement Initiatives
Complete the "Quality Improvement: Consultant Pharmacist Summary Report" for all relevant facilities and ensure timely transmission of reports.

Education and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:
  • An active Pharmacy license in good standing.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in clinical pharmacy practice.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or a PharmD.
  • Immunization certification or a willingness to obtain it.
