Job Overview

Staff Management Group is currently in search of a Forklift Operator for our client. This role is based in a dynamic outdoor environment, where the successful candidate will be expected to operate forklifts efficiently and safely.

Work Schedule
  • Shift: 2nd Shift, 4PM - 4AM
  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • Overtime: Available
Compensation
  • Hourly Rate: $18 - $20
Position Summary

The Forklift Operator will be tasked with managing the movement of materials across a rugged outdoor area. The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment, whether indoors or outdoors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate various machinery including stretch wrap machines and forklifts.
  • Organize inventory on-site according to established procedures.
  • Safely load and unload materials from transportation vehicles.
  • Ensure accuracy in shipping documentation through careful validation and recording.
  • Perform additional tasks as required by the operational needs.
  • Assist with pallet organization and restacking.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience operating a 6,000 lb. forklift in an outdoor setting.
  • Valid forklift certification is required.
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
  • Proficient in English, with strong communication and math skills.
  • Must pass internal Forklift Certification Training and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Capable of working in varying weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Frequent standing and physical activity required.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 65 lbs.
  • Physical tasks may include bending, climbing, and reaching.
