Job Summary

The Groundskeeper Senior will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems and related components. This role includes providing lead direction and training for grounds and landscape maintenance tasks, as well as assisting with construction and landscaping activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and installation of irrigation systems, ensuring optimal water efficiency and system performance.
• Provide lead direction and training for grounds and landscape maintenance tasks, including supervising staff and coordinating projects.
• Assist with construction and landscaping activities, including site preparation, planting, and hardscaping.
• Operate and maintain various equipment for grounds maintenance tasks, including mowers, trimmers, and irrigation controllers.
• Perform routine maintenance on grounds-keeping equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and repair.

Requirements

• Completion of education or experience ensuring the ability to read, write, and speak at a sufficient level, along with two years of relevant work experience.
• Valid State of Arizona Class D Driver's License.
• Possible state license/certification for pesticide/herbicide application.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in irrigation system maintenance and repair.
• Lead or supervisory groundskeeper experience.
• Current State of Arizona OPM Applicator's License for herbicide/pesticide.

Working Conditions

• Heavy manual labor outdoors, including exposure to various environmental conditions and pests.
• Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
