**Job Summary:**

Martin County Schools North Carolina is seeking a highly qualified Music Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching music to students in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

• Instructional Process:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that aligns with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
• Curriculum Development:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest music education research and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of the school's music curriculum and instructional materials.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement music programs that promote student engagement and academic achievement.
• Classroom Management:
  • Establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes student learning and well-being.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage classroom behavior and minimize disruptions.
  • Supervise students during school hours and ensure their safety and well-being.
• Public Relations:
  • Represent the school and district in a professional and positive manner.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, students, and the community to promote the school's music program and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement public relations strategies that promote the school's music program and events.
• Professional Growth:
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance music education skills and knowledge.
  • Stay current with best practices in music education and apply this knowledge to instructional practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field.
• North Carolina Professional Educator's License in Music Education.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
