Overview:
As a Senior Geriatric Care Physician, you will collaborate closely with residency program leaders in both the Medicine and Family Practice departments. Your role will involve evaluating the quality, sufficiency, and suitability of services provided within these departments.
In this position, you will deliver specialized geriatric care to patients while also mentoring residents and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in a diverse range of work settings, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living environments, and outpatient clinics.
- Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners who are integrated into skilled facilities and participate in on-call duties.
- Share on-call responsibilities with a team of seven, utilizing a telephone-only system with flexible scheduling.
- Work alongside a dedicated clinical care team, which includes an experienced Clinical Nurse Practitioner.
- Conduct initial cognitive assessments with the assistance of a geriatric social worker.
Technology:
Utilize the EPIC electronic health record system to enhance patient care and documentation.
Benefits:

Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required.
- Must possess a valid medical license as a Physician and Surgeon or as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine upon hire.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Osteopathic Internal Medicine is required, along with a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine.
- Must meet the criteria for membership on the Medical Staff.
