Position Overview:

This role involves supervising a team of technologists conducting various breast imaging screenings and diagnostic assessments while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Operational Management:**
- Organize and prioritize workflow in the assigned unit to ensure timely processing of examinations.
- Schedule and allocate staff to workstations based on workload and personnel training levels.
2. **Staff Development:**
- Evaluate and mentor team members on performance, providing constructive feedback and addressing any performance issues.
- Conduct training for new mammography technologists and students, ensuring they are well-versed in departmental protocols.
3. **Quality Assurance:**
- Perform regular inspections and quality control checks in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of patient tracking and ensure proper archiving of imaging studies.
4. **Collaboration with Medical Staff:**
- Assist physicians during image-guided diagnostic procedures and ensure the availability of necessary equipment.
- Facilitate communication with vendors for necessary services and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of experience as a certified Mammography Technologist.
- Valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist and Mammographic Certificate from the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with a commitment to patient care and safety.
