We're seeking an Electrical Engineer to work on projects that enable the heart of our clients' business.

As an Electrical Engineer at Jacobs, you'll have the opportunity to work on projects including pharmaceutical facilities, semiconductor manufacturing, Industrial (pulp and paper, chemical) facilities, and other state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.

You'll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.

Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will produce designs for Medium and low voltage power distribution systems, Lighting, Grounding, Fire Alarm, Security, Public Address (PA), Telecomm and Heat Trace systems.

You'll also interact directly with the client, owner, and contractors to assist during construction.

You and the other members of your team will work closely with client owners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.

You'll also have the chance to utilize your technical expertise to mentor other professionals, helping your team discover what drives them, nurturing their purpose and guiding them forward.

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
  • Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC)
  • Work collaboratively to achieve overall project delivery goals
  • ACAD and REVIT experience

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Professional Engineering License or path to obtain
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
  • Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
  • Passion for design and construction projects
