About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Neuro ICU team at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI.

Job Summary

This is a 0.9 FTE full-time position requiring 72 hours of work per bi-weekly pay period. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse and supporting visitors, patients, and staff in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse
  • Assist with daily tasks such as vital sign collection and reporting
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Support the maintenance of a safe and clean environment
Requirements
  • Current certification as a nursing assistant in the state of Wisconsin
  • One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting or previous work experience in a post-acute care setting or nursing home
  • Prior listing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry required with current registry recommended
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
